Valentine's Week has quietly turned into a seven-day shopping marathon, with new gifts, new pressures, and the same tired lists. This Valentine's week list is different. It's slower, simpler, and meant for people who'd rather stay home, make something meaningful, and focus on connection instead of consumption. No credit card or reservations required!

What is a Valentine's Day (or Valentine Week) list?
Simply put, it's a week-long celebration of the people you love, with a small focus for each day. Because sometimes one day just isn't long enough to slow down, be intentional, and show a little extra love.
The best Valentine's Week lists aren't about what you buy-they're about how you live. Choosing simplicity makes room for connection, meaning, and memories that last longer than a shopping receipt.

🌹 Rose Day - February 7
Rose Day doesn't have to mean buying roses that wilt by tomorrow. On the homestead, this day is about symbols of love, not price tags. Dry rose petals for tea, add a few drops of wild foraged rose hip syrup to baked goods, or simply bring in a bouquet of wild flowers or evergreen branches to brighten the house. Love doesn't need to be wrapped in cellophane to count. 💐
💍 Propose Day - February 8
Forget grand gestures. Propose something that actually matters-more time together, fewer distractions, or a shared goal for the year ahead. This is a good day to talk about intentions, not rings. Commitment shows up in daily life, not just jewelry boxes.
🍫 Chocolate Day - February 9
Chocolate Day is best celebrated in the kitchen. Make hot cocoa, bake some brownies, or make Dubai chocolate bars together. You can even share a box of chocolates, you know, the one you've been saving for a special day... What matters is slowing down long enough to enjoy a chocolaty treat together. 💝

🧸 Teddy Day - February 10
Instead of buying stuffed animals, think comfort. Extra blankets on the couch, a cozy movie night with a bowl of popcorn, or an early evening by the fire. Comfort is underrated-and far more memorable than another plush toy collecting dust.

🤝 Promise Day - February 11
Promise Day doesn't need big declarations. Keep it practical. Promise to eat healthier or to eat more meals together. Unplug at night, play a board game (this one is my favorite), or promise to support each other's goals and projects. Simple promises kept consistently mean more than grand ones forgotten.
🤗 Hug Day - February 12
This one's self-explanatory. Slow down. Be present. Hug longer than usual. Life is busy, and affection often gets rushed-this day is a reminder that connection doesn't cost a thing. Celebrate Hug Day by giving those you love a lingering hug... the best hug they've ever had!
💋 Kiss Day - February 13
Kiss Day is about closeness, not performance. A quiet moment, a shared laugh, or an intimate kiss before the day gets away from you. So, today, make sure you sneak a kiss from your sweetie and remind them how much they mean to you!

❤️ Valentine's Day - February 14
End the week the same way you lived it-intentionally. Cook a romantic meal together, light a few candles, say a prayer of gratitude, or simply enjoy the fact that you chose simplicity over spectacle. Love can be demonstrated best in ordinary moments.

Valentine's Day When You're Single
Valentine's Day doesn't have to revolve around couples or grand gestures. If you're single-or simply skipping the hype-this can be a beautiful day to celebrate love in all its forms, including the unconditional kind that greets you at the door every day.
Spend the evening with your pets curled up beside you, cook a meal you truly enjoy, light a candle, and take a moment to slow down. Whether it's a quiet night in, a long walk with your dog, or extra snuggles with a purring companion, love shows up in many ways-and this one counts just as much.
